I fish plastics (Finnish Swimming) plugs a lot. The Red Fin is a big part of my fishing. The Rapala MaxRap is an awesome plug, reel skinny. The Maverick, great profile and good action. Bombers, Hellcats, 4 1/2″ and 5 1/2″ and 7″ are great for specific conditions. The Mambo Minnow is another good plug. The Yo-zuri Hydro Minnow great for distance. I do not fish SP Minnows, they are so popular, I like to use something different. SP Minnows are a no go for me.

Unloaded and loaded. Loaded with Bee bees or mineral oil. 5″ get 1/0 hooks, 7″ get 1/0, 2/0 or 3/0.

Red Fins Loaded with Bee Bees. Both the 5 1/2″ and 7″. They cast decent and the rattle in rough water makes them a valuable plug for me.
Rapala MaxRaps
Rapala MaxRaps, love fishing these. Incredible plug because of their very slim profile. Imitates spearing, sand eels and other slim profile baits. Get rid of the ring on the eye and use the original hooks (swims best that way, heavier hooks wll kill the plug action).

Bombers, I have one that I have a ton of confidence in, but they are great plugs. I like throwing them in rough water, rips, around rocks, behind breaking waves and eddys.

Hellcats, I started fishing these in 2018, the 4 1/2″ and 5 1/2″ in calm water, small offering, swim tight.
Hellcat 7″
The 7″ Hellcat is a plug that excels in rougher water. Fishing a surf I am looking for current, white water and “funny ” looking water. I really like the black over silver at night. I think its an excellent plug for imitating shad or snappers. I paint some black over white.

Mambo Minnow
Its Mambo Time!!! Great plugs for specific conditions. At night I Like the Black over Silver 7″ when Snappers are around. These and the 7″ Black over Silver are an excellent 1-2 punch in the dark.
